U Iberis Gama Glória Rugby Challenge

Earlier this summer, a bunch of lawyers and venture capital professionals spent a Saturday on a rugby pitch and discovered something unexpected: collective celebration can be an important part of success.  

The occasion was the U Iberis Gama Glória Rugby Challenge, a joint event with the team at Iberis Capital. CDUL Rugby organized the day, and Gonçalo Foro – one of the great names of Portuguese rugby and a veteran of the 2007 Rugby World Cup – was our guru on the pitch.  

Nobody was tackled, a few were humbled, everyone broke a good sweat. And in the end, the team that danced together was the team that won the day.  

(Next up: the rugby players will come into the Gama Glória office for a teambuilding event, consisting of a simulated investment fund constitution and the drafting of the corresponding documentation against the clock.)

No início deste verão, um grupo de advogados e profissionais de capital de risco passou um sábado num campo de râguebi e descobriu algo inesperado: a celebração coletiva pode ser uma parte importante do sucesso.

A ocasião foi o U Iberis Gama Glória Rugby Challenge, um evento conjunto com os nossos colegas da Iberis Capital. O CDUL Rugby organizou o dia, e Gonçalo Foro — um dos grandes nomes do râguebi português e veterano do Mundial de Râguebi de 2007 — foi o nosso guru em campo.

Ninguém foi travado com placagem, alguns foram humilhados, todos suaram em bica e partilharam gargalhadas. E no final, a equipa que dançou junta foi a equipa que ganhou o dia.
